2021 Mataro

Vintage 2021 will be remembered as one of excellent quality and yield. The first dominant La Nina event since the Summer of 2010/11 led to a wet Spring, setting up the best fruit-set seen since the vintage of 2017. While the Eastern and Western seaboards yielded to La Nina with heavy rain over the growing season, South Australia and the Barossa Valley proved ideal for ripening grapes. The resultant wines are intense with fruit and colour.

A touch of savory with sophistication sees this playful and seamless wine coat the palate with joy and subtle fruit sweetness. Subtle toasty oak integration over a brief eight months adds fine tannins to the finish.
