2016 Shiraz

A dry winter and growing season led to the earliest vintage on record. Though quick the vintage yielded robust flavours and colours.

Brick red in colour, the nose is packed full of bright black berry jam and plum on first swirl, supported by a hint of eucalypt and smoky oak. The palate offers up a juicy core of developing fruit and acidity, with big, bold tannins adding structure and weight. Complex flavours of earth, smoked meats and game dominate, leading into a long savoury and warm finish. A wine that has many years of enjoyable drinking life ahead. Decant one hour prior to drinking for best experience. Drink now or cellar for a further 3 to 5 years.
